This is the first of a series of 39 paintings that are meant to remember, in reverence, the 39 lashings Jesus endured before He was ultimately crucified.
This series will be painted over the next several months as the leading of the Holy Spirit dictates.
Created with high quality Windsor & Newton paint using a palette knife, this piece is full of beautiful color and wonderful texture. Finished with 3 coats of UV resistant conservation varnish this work is meant to last a lifetime.
